About the Chef

WNC born, Chef Tyler Cook grew up in South Carolina cooking straight from the garden. He attended the University of South Carolina and held multiple positions in several South Carolina restaurants, learning under some of the area's top chefs. He joined the staff of the Charlotte Street Grill and Pub upon returning to Asheville in 2004 as sous chef, becoming executive chef two years later. Tyler's food uses fresh ingredients and regional cooking wisdom to reflect his passion in all styles of cuisine.
